In Malaysia, e-BOS (Electronic Beneficial Ownership System) is an online system introduced by the Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) for companies and LLPs to submit and update their Beneficial Ownership (BO) information. It can be accessed through the SSM4U portal.
What can you do in e-BOS?
-Add new beneficial owners or senior management
-Update beneficial ownership information
-Remove beneficial owners or senior management
-Rectify previously submitted BO information
Who needs to use e-BOS?
Most companies incorporated under the Companies Act 2016 and LLPs are required to maintain and submit beneficial ownership information to SSM
How to get E-BOS access :
Once your SSM4U account is fully verified, you can proceed to register within the e-BOS system:

- Log In: Log in to the SSM4U portal using your registered email and password.
- Access e-BOS: On the main services dashboard, click on the e-BOS icon.
- Upgrade User Status: On the e-BOS Dashboard, navigate to User Management and click on ‘Upgrade/Update Verified Professional’.
- Submit Application: Complete all the required fields and click ‘Submit’.
- Wait for Approval: Your application will be processed by SSM. Once approved, you will receive a notification email, and you can begin submitting or updating Beneficial Ownership information.
